Riley Clemmons, a multi-talented performer and one of People Magazine’s Emerging Artists, has now announced the long-awaited release of her third studio album, Church Pew, on September 22nd via Capitol CMG. The 11-track album, which Riley co-produced with Jeff Pardo, represents a period of personal growth for Riley. Riley spent the better part of a year pondering and figuring out what truly made her happy after going through depression and burnout as a result of the expectations of being in the spotlight for such a long time.The corpus of work that results from that trip shows who she truly is. In addition to announcing new music, Riley also unveiled “Church Pew,” the third song on the album. The tender and affecting song discusses all the significant events that take place in a church pew. Everyone needs a place to belong, and a pew provides that for everyone—at weddings, funerals, AA meetings, and regular services—regardless of whether they are hurting or joyful.After “Loved By You,” which has received over 1.5 million streams worldwide since its release, and “Miracle,” which is approaching 1 million streams in its first two weeks, “Church Pew” was released.
Since the start of her nearly ten year career, Riley Clemmons, a rising musician from Nashville, Tennessee, has amassed over half a billion global streams and 85 million views on YouTube. Riley gained notoriety with her 2017 Capitol CMG debut single “Broken Prayers,” which has amassed over 56 million global streams since its release, after spending years honing her craft in writers’ rooms.
