ONE house musica collective of various musicians, singers, songwriters and producers, will release their new EP, Eyes upFriday, October 7th toREThink/Capitol CMG. The collective was founded at ONE | founded A Potter’s House Church (Los Angeles) under the leadership of Touré Roberts and his wife, Sarah Jakes Robertsboth senior pastors of the church.
ONE House Music is the musical extension of ONE Church’s global movement to create transformative experiences for people outside the church. The name ONE House Music came about through the union of two powerful ministries – ONE Church, founded by Pastor Touré Roberts, and the famous Potter’s House, founded by Senior Pastor Sarah Jakes Roberts’ father, Bishop TD Jakes. After the couple married, ONE became a Potter’s House Church in Los Angeles.
Released October 7th, the EP “Eyes Up” is a follow-up to ONE House Music’s critically acclaimed debut album “Live Again.”
Ahead of the release of their Eyes Up EP on Friday October 7th, ONE House Music has released two singles:Last time” by Isaiah Roberts and “I would lie“with Sondae and Mitch Wong.
ONE House’s “Last Time,” produced by Brunes Charles, Adale Jackson and Touré Roberts, is a bold declaration of freedom born of a moment of remorse,” says Isaiah Roberts. “It’s a song about taking responsibility for the things I’ve done in the past and making a conscious decision not to do them again. “Last Time” was inspired by an honest conversation with myself about letting go of the vices that had been holding me back from being truly fulfilled. The song is the ultimate accountability partner for people trying to make better life decisions. It’s also a reminder not to make mistakes again.”
In a conversation produced by ONE, Be free with Touré and Isaiah Roberts, father and son talk about the industry, unspoken expectations and how to reach the unchurched without preaching. Isaiah speaks more about being authentic to what God has called him to be and not what others expect. He also shares that strengthening his faith helped him get relief from returning to certain vices. In the conversation, he also shared that as his faith grew, his music also changed.
A second song now available to stream is “I would lie“, performed by ONE House with UK-based artist Sondae and Nashville-based singer Mitch Wong. The single was produced by Brunes Charles, Sondae Skipp, MFLO and Touré Roberts.
“I Would Lie” was written from the perspective of someone who realized, after trying to do things on his own, that he was lying to himself and needed God.
