Battle%20Hymn%20of%20the%20Republic%20was%20written%20by%20Julia%20Ward%20Howe%20during%20the%20American%20Civil%20War,%20after%20a%20visit%20with%20the%20union%20army.%20″Battle%20Hymn%20of%20the%20Republic”%20was%20said%20to%20be%20sung%20by%20both%20sides%20of%20the%20party%20engaging%20in%20the%20war.

Written%20in%201861,%20Battle%20Hymn%20of%20the%20Republic%20has%20come%20to%20be%20a%20patriotic%20hymn%20sung%20in%20schools%20and%20churches%20across%20the%20world%20today.%20Over%20138%20years%20since%20it%20has%20been%20written,%20the%20song%20is%20still%20very%20much%20recognized.%20Even%20the%20popular%20Man%20United%20anthem%20uses%20the%20tune%20of%20the%20battle%20hymn%20of%20the%20republic.

The%20Tabernacle%20Choir%20which%20performed%20this%20song%20at%20the%20Temple%20Square%20in%201986%20in%20their%20album%20titled%20″American%20Tribute”,%20won%20the%20Grammy%20award%20for%20the%20Best %20Performance%20by%20a%20Vocal%20Group%20or%20Chorus%20category.


Hymns%20are%20very%20useful%20in%20the%20life%20of%20Christians,%20as%20scripture%20admonishes%20us%20to%20sing%20hymns%20and%20sacred%20songs%20to%20God.
