FIRST READING

“He has spoken to us by a Son.”
The beginning of the Letter to the Hebrews (Hebrews 1:1 – 6)

In many and various ways God spoke of old to our fathers by the prophets; but in these last days he has spoken to us by a Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the ages. He reflects the glory of God and bears the very stamp of his nature, upholding the universe by his word of power. When he had made purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, having become as much superior to angels as the name he has obtained is more excellent than theirs. For to what angel did God ever say, “You are my Son, today I have begotten you”? Or again, “I will be to him a father, and he shall be to me a son”? And again, when he brings the first-born into the world, he says, “Let all God’s angels worship him.”

“Repent, and believe in the Gospel.”
A reading from the holy Gospel according to Mark (Mark 1 : 14-20)

After John was arrested, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of God, and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent, and believe in the gospel.” And passing along by the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and Andrew the brother of Simon casting a net in the sea; for they were fishermen. And Jesus said to them, “Follow me and I will make you become fishers of men.” And immediately they left their nets and followed him. And going on a little farther, he saw James the son of Zebedee and John his brother, who were in their boat mending the nets. And immediately he called them; and they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired servants, and followed him.

Today’s Reflection

The exalted place of Jesus Christ in our time is highlighted today. Jesus is all that matters in our life now, because He has replaced the intercessory roles of the judges and prophets of old. He is the choice of God and the Son the Father has begotten. He ranks higher than the angels. He is the brightness of God’s glory and the exact likeness of God’s own being sustaining the universe with His powerful Word.  Jesus is the One that the Father told the world to listen to. This is why He called the apostles to follow Him. We must in all things cling to Jesus, who is all that we need, and follow Him in all His ways.

Personal Devotional: Day 10

21 Day Novena for Personal and Family Restoration in the New Year 2021 (2nd January – 23rd January 2021)

Fasting Guideline: (i) Fast on the first day of the prayers, (ii) Every Fridays throughout the period and (iii) The last day of the prayers from 6am – 6pm (If you have the grace to fast from 6am-12noon or 6am-6pm in the 21days of the prayers you’re free to do so).
Note: The sick, pregnant women, nursing mothers are please advised to exercise caution in the fast.



1. Opening Prayer: The name of the Father,, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit Amen.



2. Prayer Point:

Today pray seriously, asking God for deeper revelation of anything wrong with the foundation of your family for the next 3 days.



3. Reflection; Jer. 33:3, Ps. 80



4. Say 1,000 Thank You Jesus using the Thank you Jesus Chaplet (Personal Devotion) Holy Rosary  from Day 7 to Day 13 and trust God with all your heart for his wonders


5. Prayer of Confirmation and trust in God

Lord, God Almighty, I thank you for protecting me from every form of evil and bringing me the gift of your divine health.
I thank you for breaking the chains of oppression and delivering me from every form of sin, sickness, disease and lie of the enemy.
I thank you for the powerful name of Jesus to which every knee shall bow.
Thank you for giving me your authority over all the power of the enemy. Nothing shall harm me. 
Thank you for your full armor, your name, your most precious Blood and your Holy Spirit.
No weapon formed against me shall prosper.
Thank you heavenly father for all your protection and provisions, for yours is the kingdom, the power and the glory, now and forevermore. Amen

7. Concluding Prayers

Dear Lord, I surrender to your mercy; Lord I surrender to your loving kindness; merciful God, I surrender to your saving grace.

“I surrender my life and my destiny to you oh Lord, wash it with the BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST.”

In the power and authority that you have given me, I say to all addictions, perversions,
chemical dependencies, hopelessness, worry, doubt, fear, despair and all symptoms
of any such illness that you must submit to the name of Jesus.
I cast down every argument and proud obstacle that exalts itself against the knowledge of
God in the mighty name of our Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.

In the name of the father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
